Eye Exam
Our eye exams are comprehensive. They normally take about 10-15 minutes. Screening tests are done for glaucoma and color deficiency. Dr. Nichols will checks for diseases or imperfections within the eyes. At the conclusion of the exam you will receive an eyeglass prescription that is good for two years. Eyeglasses are not included with the exam but can be purchased in the Walmart Vision Center or the optical store of your choice.
Contact Lense Exam
We fit contacts for both spherical and specialty prescriptions, including toric (for astigmatism), cosmetic (colors), multi-focal, monovision, and rigid gas permeables (RGP's).
Prices start at $100 for a spherical lens fit and vary for specialty fits. All contact lens exams includes the basic eye exam with a prescription for glasses, a trial pair of contacts, instruction on how to insert, remove, and take care your lenses (if needed), a wearing schedule, a starter kit which has a small bottle of all purpose solution and a new lens case, and up to 90 days to finalize your prescription. Your contact lens prescription is valid for one year from the date of the exam.
We take the health of your eyes seriously and want you to have the best vision possible. After the 90 day time frame an office visit for a cornea check may be required before any Rx can be written.
